🌱 About Us

We’re not just a farm we’re a family on a mission to heal the land, the ocean, and ourselves.

Tervana was born on an avocado ranch in Morro Bay, where the sun rises over Morro Rock and the Pacific breeze carries stories from generations past. Our roots stretch back to Costa Rica where land and family are sacred and we’ve brought that spirit here to California, blending ancient wisdom with regenerative science.

At the heart of our work is a simple belief: farming can heal.

We raise black soldier fly larvae to transform food scraps into rich compost and protein for our free-range chickens. Our chickens lay nutrient-dense eggs while their manure, combined with alpaca poop, avocado leaves, and seaweed, helps us build the most fertile soil imaginable. Every input is an output, and every output feeds something else.

This is what we call our closed-loop system — nature's perfect circle.

But more than a system, it’s a lifestyle. You’ll find our young sons feeding the hens or dancing barefoot near the drying racks. You’ll find us gathering kelp at sunrise, or hauling buckets of compost side by side as a family. We believe in getting our hands dirty, giving back to the earth, and showing the next generation that farming doesn't have to destroy to provide.

Tervana isn’t just about food — it’s about building a future where soil is sacred, waste is valuable, and even seaweed has a purpose.

We’re proud to be part of something bigger — a global movement of regenerative hope.

🌾 Come visit, get your hands in the soil, and be part of something beautiful.
